Lord Loss
By:Darren Shan
ISBN# 0-316-01233-5
Publish date: 2005
# of pages :244
Genre: Fiction
This book should come with a 100% scare warning. This book is not for children who have nightmares, because the nightmares will increase. Grubbs Grady, a teenager returns home and finds his parents and sister eviscerated by deadly demons out of Hell.
Nobody believes in Lord Loss. It's only when his Uncle Dervish saves him from a lunatic tradition of the nature and ancient curse his family has. Lord Loss forces him to play chess in order to save their souls. You would not be able to put this book down.
Darren Shan wanted this book to be scary and it was. From when Grubbs puts rat guts on his sister, to when Bill-E is a werewolf.
The writing in this book is very effective. It has you at the edge of your seat throughout the whole book. The best thing about this book is how it builds suspense then ends with a bang. I really disliked the suspense because it took a long time to know what's going to happen.
Darren Shan has a lot of experience writing scary books. He's the author of the Cirque De Freak series. This is the most interesting book I've ever read.
I would recommend this book to anyone who can handle it. It is so scary, but it pulls you in.

Dracula is a Pain in the Neck
When I picked up this book it looked so good, it looked so good, because it looked funny, and a little mysterious, and scary. Then I started to read the book little by little. I got so into the book I read it for a long time for I can understand the book, and not get so confused with it. I had a good feeling about the book, I was right about the book Dracula is a pain in neck.
It started off a really good book.I thought it was going to be a little baby book, I thought it was going to be a baby book because it was not long it looked like a little kid would read. I thought not to read the book I didn't want to be a baby.
It could be a very good book to read to your little brother,or little sister. You can read it as a very good camp story.I think that it will be a great story to read for fun if you think about it.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
216pg.
John Boyne
ISBN 0-385-75106-0`
Holocaust
I read the Boy in the Striped Pajamas. It is about a boy named Bruno, he has a sister named Gretel. Two kids go on a adventure of their life when 9 year old Bruno moves homes to a totally different place! When Bruno moves in his new room he notices a fence, a fence with people with striped clothes. Fences like this exist all over the world and do not bring pleasure to the people inside.
Most people don't know about the Holocaust, but if they wanted to know more, they would really like this book.My favorite character would probably be Bruno because he sounds really adventurous. There were also a lot of crazy soldiers in that time they were called Nazis, these Nazis all worked for one man and one man only ... Hitler.
You should read this book because it is one of a kind really hard but exciting and if you do read it I think you will like it a lot I'm not just saying this. It starts out good and it ends even better. If you like part of history and adventure you should read The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

"Quirky Tails"
Quirky Tails by Paul Jennings
1998
108 pgs
Fiction
I read "Quirky Tails" by Paul Jennings. I recommend this book for fourth grade teachers to read to their classes and for kids who love mystery books.
There are a lot of stories that are cool. I like the one that tells the story of the kid who got a small mouth and he goes to a a doctor and he tells the story to the doctor and he said he saved a Santa from the roof and he gave the kid three wishes and his sister said I wish my brother had a little mouth.
Quirky Tails is a good book to read I liked it and some of my friends even recommended it. I loved this book and it is really freaky. When my friends finished it they said WOW, Josh this book is good! This book was the first book I read in Ms. Spangenthal's classroom. Actually she recommended it to me.
This book is nice and really cool when you get a chance to the library to see if it's there or even in your school library. When you're finished with this book you will love it.
When you look at the cover it will look weird when you read the book WOW! My teacher asked me what kind of book I liked I said weird ones so she passed Quirky Tails to me and I said OK. When you're done I encourage you to go and find this book so you can read it and say
WOW!!

A Fate Totally Worse Than Death
I picked this book because the title caught my attention. I wanted to find out what was worse than death.
This book is about mostly teenagers, jealousy, love, envy, and death. There are three girls who didn't like this girl who was prettier than they were. They didn't know what to do about her because all the boys are paying more attention to her, so they decide to kill her. The fact is that they have already killed a girl before, so they think its OK to kill another one. Ever since those jealous three girls have been trying to make the new girl have a hard time, and ever since she came to that school, strange things have been happening to them. Things in their bodies have been changing, the kind of things that you will not see happening in your body.
I think that this book is so interesting very shocking when you read the end. You should read this book because you learn a very good lesson. The lesson is that you shouldn't be so jealous of someone, and not waste all your time worrying about that one person.

Margaret doen't have a religion and when her friends found out they were in shock. So her friends told her she was lucky because she didn't have a religion. Margaret's grandmother told her to choose her religion as Jewish just because her grandmother was Jewish.
Her grandmother was asking some weird questions, like if she had a boyfriend, and if he was Jewish. Margaret also develops into a teenager and she starts liking a boy named Philip Leroy. She says that he's good-looking and cute.

Lord Voldemore is a meanie because he is a dark wizard. Harry keeps having dreams, weird ones that he is walking down passageways. He has a teacher named Professor Snape, he is also mean because he is a Death Eater. Harry has an Uncle but something bad happens to him.
You should read all the Harry Potter books. They're interesting and they have mysteries. J.K. Rowling is a wonderful writer, her books have good details. It is crazy that the book is long, but it's still good. They are funny and sometimes scary. It is good for everyone to read so go and read it.

Frankenstein
Adapted in 1982
By:Mary Shelley
This book is about Frankenstein. He was invented by a man named Victor who is a mad scientist. He made him out of bodies, and bones. But before the scientist could fix him, the monster escaped. Now the scientist has to find the monster so he won't kill people.
I think that the book was so cool and interesting, because they show Frankenstein and it tells us what he does to people.
He used words I understand, and he makes it clear to read.

Tittle: Totally Joe
Author: James Howe
Genre: Fiction
Pages: 189
Copyright 2005
ISBN- 13: 978-0-689-83957-3
This is a totally cool book. It's just a book that teaches life lessons to middle school kids.
It's about a kid named Joe who is gay and is writing his "alphabiography" to his teacher for a school assignment. He writes his "alphabiography" based on his 7th grade life. It's not just his 7th grade life, he makes flashbacks from his childhood. His only problem is that he doesn't understand why a kid named Kevin makes fun of him so much at school.
He has to go through name calling and a boyfriend. The best thing that he has is his aunt that loves him, and his friends, the Gang Of Five, are misfits. It's a totally funny cool book. I recommend you read it.
P.S. "Life lesson #1: Middle school is like being trapped in a reality show, where there's no way off the island and you're always the loser. "Life lesson for parents:"Love your kids, let them play with Barbies. Let them pick out the stuff in their bedroom. (Hello.) And don't tell them that "people like that" make you upright, because for all you know your kids just might be " people like that" too." Life lesson #3: "Being who you are isn't a choice". Life lesson #4: "Alphabiographies should be full of italics, CAPITAL LETTERS, and exclamation points! (just like life!) And they should never end with the words "the end" they should always end with:
TO BE CONTINUED!!!!!"

September 2004 194 pages
Nonfiction published The word sellers, inc
This is a very amazing book that will tell you how they lived and how they survived.
I picked this book because I like all the stories about the people who lived during the time of the Holocaust. This book has different stories about people who were Jewish and how it was scary to live in Germany. You might cry, you might even close the book and get angry. But all if these people end up happy. I couldn't put the book down after that. The strengths of the stories are that in the end of each chapter they end in happy great places. What is interesting about this book is that the Germans discriminated against the Jews. This can be sad, but read it. You will like it. This is a very moving book. Hope You like it!!!!

Bunnicula: A Rabbit Tale Of Mystery
Author: Deborah and James Howe
Publisher: Aladdin Paperback Edition
Year: 1996
Pages: 98
ISBN-13978-0-688-30700-3
I picked this book because it was recommended by one of my friends in school who really enjoyed it. And now I see why.
This book kept me engaged. From the beginning to the end is pure mystery and goofiness. It is just 98 pages long so, it was a great read for a relaxed moment. It does have a couple of illustration but, it doesn't take up the whole book.
The writing is imaginative. While you read it you can imagine every word he is saying, kinda like a movie.
This book is the story of a house dog named Harold and a very unusual cat named Chester as a best friend. They have just realized that they have a new roommate named Bunnicula. Weird name, right? Chester is convinced that he is a vampire. Is he? You'll have to read and see!

I was looking for a book and I saw this book about surving in the desert. I thought i might read this book so i would know what i would be like to try survive in the desert alone.
This book is about two men who steal a car with two boys in the car and they get stranded in the desert and try to survive.
Here's my opinion about this book; it is a great book and it tells you what you should do when you have no food. it's a great book if you are 11 or 12 or younger because it's about kids and how they made a shelter and survive and how they got water. It is very fascinating. I love this book so much. It taught me a lot of things. You should read it, too. It will teach you the same things that it will taught me. READ IT! READ IT!
